Summertime Fun!

Summer is officially here! It is time for pool parties, beach parties and all the hot dog and hamburgers you can eat. In the Nieter household, we are big fans of going to Mimi and Poppy's (Brent's parents) pool. Blake had his first experience with the pool earlier this month. He seemed to like it. Our other child, Millie, absolutely loves the pool and we can barely keep her out of it when we are in it.

Super Millie!

Another event that signals summer for the Nieters is plum season. We are very fortunate to have two large plum trees in our backyard. Well, the plums begin to ripen near the end of May beginning of June. The problem is by mid June they are all ready to be picked. A couple years ago I began the tradition of making plum jam. It is a pretty simple process but very time consuming when trying to pit hundreds of plums. Oh well, the reward of having fresh jam from your own backyard is worth it! I have to thank Brent and his parents for helping me through the process this year.

Father's Day and 3 Months Old

This past weekend was pretty eventful around our house. Blake turned 3 months old on Saturday, and Brent had his first Father's Day on Sunday.

Hot Summer Days!

Summer has arrived! This past week the temperature has soared to the 90's and today it is probably going to hit triple digits. Needless to say, Blake and I are staying inside as much as possible. We didn't do much this week but try to stay cool. I am loving all of Blake's new summer clothes. I can't believe he was 12 weeks old yesterday and I am having to switch his 0-3 month clothing for 3-6 month. He is getting so big so fast. He is consistently sleeping through the night which is wonderful and we only have one more week until Daddy is home for the summer. Wow, time is going fast! Here are a couple of pictures from the week!
