11 months
Here is Blake's 11 month picture. It is getting more difficult to get him to stay still long enough for us to take his picture :) He is growing up so fast. Last night Brent and I were having him practice his walking between us and he came very close to taking a step. My heart was excited but also a little sad. I am not ready for my baby to be a toddler :( Oh well, I will just try to enjoy every moment of every stage!

Longing for Spring
Maybe its just me but it feels like this winter has been one of the longest and coldest in quite awhile and I think it is finally taking a toll on me. I am trying to stay positive and keep my spirits high but this cold is wearing me down. At times I feel that I can't get warm no matter how many fuzzy socks or sweatshirts I wear. I have a very low tolerance for cold and even though Brent laughs at me ...I do physically hurt when I am cold. This winter also has kept me indoors because of Blake. It is not worth the sickness or the hassle of dressing him to face the cold so we stay indoors. So as you can see I am longing for Spring. My plan for today to lift my spirits is to update the blog colors to that of spring. I know Spring will be here soon so I am looking forward to the warm sunny days that will soon brighten all of our days.

The Angels Rejoice
I can hear the angels rejoicing even now as one of their own enters in through the pearly gates. This past Saturday, my 95 yr old Great Uncle Walter went home to be with the Lord. He was an amazing man of God who taught Sunday school until he was 90. His faith in God was paramount and evident by his request made on his death bed when he told his son to make sure they handed out tracks at his funeral. Uncle Walter was a loving man who always had a joke to tell us and constantly told me & Jen growing up that we needed to find good Baptist boys to marry. Well, we listened to him and are very happy we did. After 30 years of blindness, I bet seeing the sights of heaven is even more special. I am sad to see him go but joyful he has received his reward!

1st Haircut
Today Blake is 11 months old and got his first haircut. After a lot of convincing from Brent, I finally agreed that we should get Blake's little mullet cut. We were so thankful the place was empty today and that Blake did an amazing job. He sat on my lap while the nice lady cut his hair and when she was done Blake let out a big happy squeal as if to say "all done!" He is such a funny little guy and so lovable. Everywhere we go people love talking to him and he talks right back giving them that killer smile :) I am so thankful for his sweet spirit and if it's possible I think that he is cuter than ever!

Warmer Days
The past couple of days we have had some warmer weather so Blake and I decided to take advantage of it by being outside as much as possible. We went to the park a couple of times and played in the backyard. It was so fun to see Blake really enjoying it. I can't wait until Spring is here for good. Here are some fun shots of our past week or so!

A "Great" Visit
For the past two weeks, Brent's grandparents were here from Indiana. They come each winter to escape the cold of the north but this year I think they had another more important reason :) They had to see their great grandson! We hadn't seen them since August so they were amazed at how big Blake had gotten. We had such a blast when they were here! Blake loved getting all the attention and love from everyone. We are so blessed by all the love our family has for Blake and how much they pour into his life! Thanks Nana & Great Grandpa :)

Blake loved sitting with Great Grandpa!

10 months & Medicine Free
Here are Blake's 10 month pictures. I know they are a couple weeks late since next Saturday he will be 11 months. I just cannot believe that he is growing up so fast. This month has been crazy and exciting. For the first time in a long time, Blake is medicine free. He is no longer taking any medicine for his reflux and seems to be doing great. Praise the Lord! He is growing up and out and seems to be thriving. We are so thankful for our little dude and his health!
