Updating kids pics

As many of you know, Brent made special cut outs for each of the kids nurseries when they were born. These wooden cut outs were also specifically chosen as the consistant item we would use to measure the kids as they grow. It is so fun to see how much they have grown in 6 months and I hope it is something they will love having in the future :-) Here are the most recent pics!

Eventful trip to the zoo

I decided to take the kids to the zoo this morning to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was around 70 degrees, overcast with a nice breeze, a perfect day. Well, the animals must have thought so to because they were out if full force enjoying their day. Just check out this video of the tiger wanting to "play" with the visiting children. I am very thankful for strong glass!!!

4 yr old preschool

Another school year has begun! Brent started teaching this past Tuesday and today Blake went to his 4 yr old preschool class for the first time. He seems to like it and was very excited that he got to play on the big playground now that he is 4. Overall the transition seems to be going very smoothly. Allison probably will have some adjusting to do. Today she cried the whole way home for 'Bake' after dropping him off at school. However after some one on one Mommy time, she seemed to have a great morning. I can't believe how fast these kids are growing up. Some days it feels like they will never be old enough to go to school all day but then I see how much Blake has grown from last year and I realize it will be all too soon. I am so blessed to have this time at home with my kids and I don't ever want to take it for granted.

Fall is here!

How can I tell Fall is here? Football is on the television! Today is the opening game for Notre Dame football and we decided to go all out in the Nieter household. Thanks to our Indiana family the kids got all their gear last Christmas and we have been waiting for this day to wear them :-) It is going to be a fun season with our little leprechauns. Go Irish!!!
