1 Month Old
It is so hard to believe that Allison is one month old today. She is growing up so fast...too fast! Overall, she is a great baby. With the exception of a few normal fussy moments, she is a very happy content little girl. Her routine pretty much consists of eating, being awake for an hour or so and then sleeping before repeating the cycle. She is becoming more alert the past few days and this week she even started smiling which is really fun. I can't wait to see her little personality emerge :) As far as the sleeping goes, she has her good nights and bad nights. She is starting to stretch her eating at night so hopefully a full night of sleep is not far behind. It has been an exhausting but wonderful month and we are just so in love with Alli. It is so amazing to me how quickly she fit into our family and how great Blake adjusted to having her here. In some ways, it feels like she has been here all the time. We are so thankful for her and can't wait to see what she'll learn next!

Allison Marie
Allison Marie was born at 9:27am on December 21, 2010. She weighed 8lbs 10oz and was 21" long. She was so cozy inside being a week overdue that we ended up having to go in and get her via c-section. The surgery went very well and the nursing staff was so nice to let me have a good bit of time with Alli right after she was born before taking her to the nursery. Overall, the recovery has been so much easier than when I had Blake. I did suffer with a spinal headache for a few days and then ended up having an allergic reaction to the tape used but as of today I am feeling great. Allison is such a good baby :) She rarely cries, is a great eater and even gives Mommy & Daddy 4 hr stretches at night! Here are a few pics from her birth.
