Strawberry pickin'

We went strawberry picking yesterday with my mom and sister. I wasn't sure how Blake would do since he doesn't really focus on certain tasks for very long. Overall he did a really good job. He enjoyed picking the strawberries for about 5 min and then preferred running up and down the aisles. Thankfully they had a play area where we also ran off some of his energy. The strawberries look delicious and are on the menu for tonight's dessert :)

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this past Sunday. We went to church, ate lunch at my mom's house, and then went out to dinner with Brent's mom. It was a beautiful day celebrating all the beautiful moms in our lives :)

Quality Poppy Time

I love that we are blessed to live around our family as Blake grows up. It is so amazing to watch him interact and learn from his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. This past week we helped Poppy celebrate his birthday and then Blake got to spend some quality male bonding time with him. There are so many wonderful talents each of us have that I hope Blake learns but the one that I hope Blake learns from Poppy is the gift of fixing things around the house. Poppy is able to fix just about anything and Blake got to watch it first hand. It was so cute to walk in the house and see Blake sitting beside him watching his every move trying to help him fix the washing machine. Blake loved the tools, the screws, the noises, but most of all I know he loved just sitting by his Poppy :)
