New Toys!

Blake found some new toys to play with this week. The best thing about these toys is that they are attached so he doesn't loose them :)

Another new toy Blake likes is his foot generated toy bar. The toy is designed so Blake can lay underneath the toy bar and use his feet to hit the pad to make the toys light up, sing and spin. It then converts when he is older so he can sit and use his hands on the toy bar. However from the picture, you can see that Blake prefers to use his feet to hit the toy bar itself instead of using the foot pad. He is so funny about using his feet :)
Brent and I are having so much fun with Blake this summer. Everyday his personality is shining through more and more. I am so thankful for having this special time as a family!

Blake's First Race

The Nieter men have a tradition of participating in Tuesday night races at the Botanical Gardens during the summer. They have been doing it for many years, but this was the first time Blake got to watch Daddy and Poppy run in a race! It won't be long before all three generations are out there on the starting line...Blake borrowed Poppy's "bib" number after the race.

Don't you just love the sunglasses?

5 Years!

Brent and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on Saturday July 12. I cannot believe that we have been married for 5 years. We celebrated with going out to Carrabbas for dinner and then heading to the beach for a walk. After our walk, we decided to finish the date off with some ice cream. Blake stayed with his Maw-Maw and Bobble for the evening and did great without us. It was so relaxing just to be together and reminisce about the past 5 years and dream about what the future will hold. God has blessed us so much and I am so grateful for Brent and the husband and father that he is.

Doing something new!

We ment to post this last week, but it has been an interesting one to say the least. Blake has struggled with acid reflux since he was born. After showing a lot of improvement, he out-grew his medicine and we have really struggled trying to get him back to normal. If you get a chance, say a prayer for the little guy. He (and we) could really use it!

Family Time

This past weekend we also got to spend some quality time with family. Blake's Aunt Lori and Uncle Dusty came for the holiday and to see Blake. He had so much fun with them and with his cousin Zoe (she's their dog).

I love playing with Aunt Lori and Uncle Dusty

Giddy-Up Zoe!

Don't forget to check out the 4th of July post below...We double-posted for the first time ever today!

Fourth of July

Blake had a fun filled First Fourth of July! We went over to Brent's parents house for an afternoon of swimming and cooking out with the whole family. Blake got to hang out with all of his grandparents, aunts and uncles, and cousins. Brent and I are so blessed to have our families here in the area and that they all get along with each other. Here are some pictures of Blake all decked out in his stars and stripes!
