Big Boy Bed!

On Tuesday night we took the leap with Blake and put him in his new big boy bed. He has been sleeping in his converted crib for a few months but with Alli soon arriving we thought it was best to make Blake's transition sooner than later. This past weekend we went out and bought Blake a new sports comforter. He was really excited about the comforter so we were hoping to make the actual bed just as exciting. Tuesday night Blake helped Daddy take down the crib and put up his new twin bed. At first, Blake wasn't so sure about the whole process but when we put the sheets and comforter on the bed, he hopped right in and said "night, night." He really seems to love his new bed and has been sleeping great in it. We are so relieved and thankful for another smooth transition :) On to the next...

Weekend Trip

This weekend we traveled to Roanoke to help our niece Rachel celebrate her 1st birthday :) She is such a sweet happy little girl who has brought so much joy into the family. We had a great time celebrating her and spending time with family :) After her party on Saturday morning, the whole family packed up the cars and headed to Lynchburg for Liberty's homecoming game. This was the first time for us being in the new stadium and it really was quite impressive. I was a little nervous about Blake sitting through an entire football game but once again he surprised us. He sat up in the stands the whole time, pointing out the fireworks, the band, the skydivers, the players tackling. He did such an awesome job and loved sitting on his Daddy's lap watching football. For me, I think the best part was watching Brent sit with Blake and share this special moment with him. Brent is an avid LU football fan and has been since college. He has always supported the team even when it wasn't the popular thing to do. Now that the stadium is built and the students are packing out the student side, it was so special to see Brent enjoying the atmosphere of a real college football game with his son :) Ok, enough sappiness from the very pregnant woman :)

30 weeks

Here is Alli and Mommy at 30 weeks! I can't believe we only have 10 weeks to go. Time is really flying and we still have a lot to get done. Surprisingly, I am feeling really good so I am praying it lasts :)
