Cereal

Well little Miss Allison had her first taste of cereal this week. It was a huge success as she really seemed to enjoy it. I know I say this a lot but I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I am happy she is thriving and growing but it makes me sad how quickly it is going.

She wanted to help Mommy

Yummy!

5 months old

I can hardly believe that Allison is already 5 months old. Time is flying by and everyday she is learning something new. This month she really has become quite a social butterfly. She gives smiles freely and loves giving sugar to anyone. When you are holding her she will grab your neck and just squeeze. It really feels like she is giving you a big hug. Usually her hugs are accompanied by a wet slobbery kiss since she is teething and wants to put everything in her mouth. Her accomplishments this month include learning to roll over completely and having her first taste of cereal. We are so thankful for Allison and her sweet easy going personality. She brings us so much joy and we love her so much :)

Spreading the joy

I don't know about you but it has been one of those days for me. So here is a little joy from last weekend that is helping me get through the day! Hope it brings you a smile :-)

Mother's Day and Alli's Dedication

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday. It started at church with Allison's baby dedication. I think it is so special that our church does these dedications on this special day. As I get to celebrate being a mom and having these kiddos in my life, the act of dedication reminds me of the gift God has entrusted to me. Blake and Allison are not mine but God's and He has given me and Brent the privilege and responsibility of raising them up in the Lord. I am so thankful for them and pray they come to know Jesus early in their lives.
After church we had lunch at my parents house with the whole family as a Mother's day/ Allison dedication party. Then we crashed and after naps, we went out to dinner at a local seafood restaurant. All in all it was a great day! Now to what you really want....the pictures :)

Allison's dedication dress is a family heirloom. It was worn by my mom, sister, me and all my sister's girls for our dedications. I am so thankful my little girl could wear it too!
