Family Day

Yesterday was one of those unplanned wonderful family days. We woke up in the morning with very little to do. We relaxed in our pj's, ate sausage biscuits and watched some of "Back to the Future" on TV. Since the weather was gorgeous, we headed out to the park to enjoy the crisp fall day. Blake had a blast running through the leaves and we just enjoyed being together. In the evening we decided to attend the Grand Illumination Parade in Norfolk. Boy was that an adventure! It was much more crowded than we expected but as always Blake was a trooper! (Mommy was too since we had to walk quite a bit) It was such an amazing night to watch Blake light up as he saw the decorated floats, balloons, and marching bands pass by. He was in complete awe from the beginning, but by the end was waving at everyone and dancing with the music. Yesterday was a day I know I won't forget. It reminds me of how blessed I am to have Brent and Blake in my life. God is so faithful and I am so thankful for the family he has given me. Soon Alli will arrive and I can't wait to hold her, love her and welcome her into our family so we can have even more memorable days together!
